Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Kaitlin Last LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). handled. is a product of Kaitlin Last LLC. These Terms govern your use of the handled. app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use handled.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use handled. The Service is built for military spouses and families, and you agree to provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. 2. The Service, and its beta status
handled. is a home-front headquarters that helps you organize tasks, reminders, bills, medical and family details, documents, benefits, and deployment or PCS planning. handled. is currently offered as a free beta. That means the Service is still being built: features may change, be added, or be removed, and you may encounter bugs or interruptions. We provide the beta as is, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
Some features are described as free and others as part of a future paid plan. During the beta, features are open while we build. We will not charge you without your clear, advance consent, and pricing may change before any paid plan launches.
3. Your account and security
Keep your login credentials confidential and secure. We offer two-step verification and an in-app privacy lock, and we recommend using them. Tell us promptly at myhandledapp@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
4. Household sharing
handled. lets you invite a partner or family member into a shared household. If you do, the members of that household can see the information created within it. Only invite people you trust with that information. You are responsible for who you invite and for managing or removing members. If you leave or are removed from a household, information generally stays with the member who created it.
5. Your content
You own the information you put into handled. You grant us the limited permission we need to host, store, process, and display your information for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you and your household. We do not sell your content and we do not use it for advertising.
You are responsible for the information you enter, and you agree not to store anything unlawful or that you do not have the right to store. Please do not enter classified or operationally sensitive military information.
6. Documents: we log, we do not host
handled. helps you keep track of your important documents by storing details about them, such as a name, a category, where the document is kept, and any expiration date. handled. does not store the document files themselves. Your actual documents remain wherever you keep them, and it is your responsibility to store and safeguard them.
7. Reminders are a helper, not a guarantee
handled. can help you keep track of dates like appointments, bills, renewals, and moves. It is a tool to assist you, not a guarantee. You remain responsible for meeting your own deadlines and obligations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, handled. is not liable for a missed appointment, payment, renewal, filing, or deadline. Always confirm important dates and requirements with the official source.
8. Not professional advice
handled. and any informational content it provides, such as glossaries or benefit rate references, are for general information only. They are not legal, financial, tax, medical, or official military advice, and they may not always be current or complete. For decisions that matter, rely on official sources such as DFAS, TRICARE, and DEERS, and your command or installation resources, and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
9. Acceptable use
When using handled., you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service or its security, or attempt to reach accounts or data that are not yours
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as allowed by law
- Upload malware or interfere with other users' use of the Service
- Infringe anyone's rights, or store another person's information without their permission
10. Third-party services
handled. relies on and links to third-party services, such as Google sign-in and our infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Our intellectual property
The handled. name, logo, design, and software are owned by Kaitlin Last LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service. These Terms do not give you any right to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended.
12. Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, thank you. You agree that we may use your feedback to improve handled. without any obligation or compensation to you.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using handled. at any time and can delete your account and its data from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. When your account is deleted, we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. This is especially true during the beta.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, handled. and Kaitlin Last LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Because handled. is provided free during the beta, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. 16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kaitlin Last LLC and handled. from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, of any law, or of the rights of another person.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the appropriate courts located in California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. 18. Changes to these Terms

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
